The mysterious disappearance of a young telecom company employee ended in tragedy after police uncovered evidence suggesting that he had been murdered. The victim, Rahul Singh of Baupur Jadid village, had left home on June 5 for work in Sultanpur Lodhi but failed to return by evening.
Concerned family members repeatedly tried contacting him, but his mobile phone remained unanswered before eventually becoming unreachable.
After an extensive search yielded no clues, the victim’s father approached the police alleging that his son had been killed. During the investigation, police identified three suspects and gathered evidence linking them to the crime.
Authorities subsequently arrested Malkit Singh, Balwinder Singh alias Laddu and Sahilpreet Singh in connection with the case. Investigators also seized a vehicle and a sharp-edged weapon believed to be connected to the offence.
The incident has caused widespread concern among local residents, while family members have demanded strict action against those responsible. Police officials said further investigation is underway to establish the motive and reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the alleged murder.
A case under relevant provisions was registered at Kabirpur Police Station and all three accused have been taken into custody.
