MOH confirms official website hacked

PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed on Saturday that its official website had been hacked after the portal displayed a message believed to have been left by the attackers, forcing the site offline while recovery efforts continue.

The ministry said a detailed investigation had been launched to determine the cause of the cyberattack, with technical teams working to restore the website as quickly as possible.

It said the incident was being treated seriously and that it was working closely with relevant agencies to strengthen cybersecurity measures and prevent similar breaches from recurring.

The public has been advised not to rely on the affected website during the outage and instead obtain health-related information through the ministry's verified social media accounts and other official communication platforms.

The ministry apologised for the inconvenience caused and said further updates would be provided as restoration work progresses, Malay Mail reported.
