A meteorologist rescued a woman from Hurricane Helene floodwaters in Atlanta.

While covering the storm Fox News journalist, Bob Van Dillen, heard a woman's cry for help along Peachtree Creek.

The woman had driven into the flood and been trapped under her car.

After calling 911 the two waited around five minutes when the water levels began to rise.

Mr Van Dillen was filmed bravely diving into rising waters and fighting strong currents to reach the woman and bring her to a safe and dry area.

After recounting the experience with his Fox News colleagues, the journalist stated that anyone would have done what he did.

The woman was since said to be doing fine.
