AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana admits he rejected a move to Nottingham Forest over the summer.
The France international says the option didn't suit him.
He explained: "To be honest, I was torn between staying and leaving. I've always said that I have no problem staying, especially at a club like Monaco that always competes at the top.
"I have personal expectations and goals, and perhaps a departure was not the best for me.
"I am very, very happy to have stayed and to have a high status in the team."
