SNACK food maker Monde M.Y. San Corp. will build a P5-billion plant at the TECO Industrial Park-Special Economic Zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) said on Friday.
A registration agreement was signed on June 23 between PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and Monde M.Y. San general manager Keng Sun Mar.
TECO is a privately owned, 250-hectare industrial park registered with PEZA.
M.Y. San, which originally opened in 1935 as an ice cream parlor, became widely known for the snack brands SkyFlakes, Fita and M.Y. San Grahams. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Monde Nissin Corp.
Its new facility will start commercial operations in 2027.
Its investment will provide direct employment and contribute to the food manufacturing value chain in Central Luzon, PEZA said.
PEZA, which approved a record P260.89 billion in investment pledges in 2025, is targeting P300 billion in approvals this year.
