More than 800 Warisan members join Hajiji’s Gagasan Rakyat

PETALING JAYA: More than 800 Warisan members in Tuaran have left the party to join Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor’s Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah.

According to local radio station Kupikupi FM, former deputy Tuaran Warisan Youth chief Abdul Salim led the members in submitting their membership forms to Hajiji, who is also the Gagasan Rakyat president.

They joined Gagasan Rakyat’s Sulaman division, with 16 new party branches set to be established.

“With the addition of these former Warisan members, Gagasan Rakyat’s strength will be bolstered, especially in Sulaman,” Hajiji said.

Hajiji is also the Sulaman assemblyman and has represented the constituency since 1990, when he was formerly in Umno and Bersatu.
