A teacher who was also a single mother and her eldest child, aged 21, are believed to have been murdered in a tragic incident at Taman Rambai Mutiara, Bukit Rambai, here, on Thursday morning.

MELAKA – A teacher who was also a single mother and her eldest child, aged 21, are believed to have been murdered in a tragic incident at Taman Rambai Mutiara, Bukit Rambai, here, on Thursday morning.

In the incident, which occurred at around 6am, the 51-year-old victim and her eldest child were found dead in the living room, while her youngest son, aged 13, was discovered covered in blood in the garage of the single-storey terrace house.

It is understood that the victim’s second child, aged 17, had just returned home that morning.

Kuantan district police chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said in the 3pm incident, Syed Alwi Syd Mohd Ali Hanafiah, 30, had gone to the river with his younger brother to fish.

As of 9am, the police forensic team was still at the scene, led by Melaka Deputy Police Chief, Senior Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Jefferi Abdullah, and Melaka Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Chief, Assistant Commissioner Eu Kee Leong.
