Motorcycle theft: Duo held in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Two men were arrested in connection with a motorcycle theft in a plantation quarters at Jalan Silabukan, recently.

District Police Chief, ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail, said the duo, a 29-year-old local man and a 36-year-old foreigner were detained at Jalan Tengah Nipah.

Dzulbaharin said the duo are suspected involved in a motorcycle theft case involving a Yamaha Y15ZR which belonged to a 28-year-old woman that reported it missing on July 23.

“A check found that the man had three previous records related to drugs while the foreigner does not have an identification document,” he said.

Both suspects were taken to the Lahad Datu IPD for further action and will be remanded for further investigation under Section 379A of the Penal Code.
