AVIATION Security Group (Avsegroup) personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 arrested a 32-year-old motorist on Oct. 25 for unjust vexation after a confrontation over traffic enforcement.
The Avsegroup said the NAIA Police Station 1 and the Mobile Police Security Unit responded to a report of illegal parking at the New Arrival Extension.
Police said the situation escalated when the motorist allegedly became uncooperative while being issued a citation ticket, reportedly hurling abusive language and physically resisting the responding officers.
Authorities eventually apprehended the motorist for unjust vexation under Article 287 of the Revised Penal Code.
He remains in the custody of NAIA Police Station 1 pending inquest proceedings.
After the incident, Avsegroup director Brig. Gen. Dionisio Bartolome reminded the public that respecting the law and airport security personnel is essential to maintaining safety and order within airport premises.
