Kota Kinabalu: The mobile truck business concept has great potential to further improve the economic status of traders in the State Capital.
This was among the topics discussed during Sabah SME Mobile Trucks Association’s (SSMTA) courtesy call led by Dr Rosalyn Gelunu on Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip, recently.
The courtesy call was aimed to provide follow-up exposure about SSMTA and the association’s mission to promote the mobile truck business concept in the city.
During the discussion, the Mayor disclosed DBKK’s plan to collaborate with SSMTA to improve the economic status of traders.
The events could become an attraction to locals and tourists and contribute to promote the development of SME mobilepreneurs in the State.
SSMTA is focused to be part of the economic development and voiced out its intention to cooperate with DBKK by providing business assistance services and support to SME traders who want to venture into business on the mobile truck platform through SSMTA,
The meeting was able to identify several areas that allow mobile truck business operations such as Damai, Likas Sports Complex Area, Jalan Merdeka and other locations that require follow-up local permits.
Efforts to find the ideal location for business on wheels would continue from time to time for the benefit of members.
Noorliza also advised SSMTA to identify new areas to be developed as business sites.
SSMTA would continue the effort to introduce mobile truck as an ideal business concept, innovative, trendy and suitable for today’s lifestyle that cares about hygiene, tidiness and creativity and aimed to become the customer’s choice.
