TELUPID: A MPV was destroyed by fire along the Jalan Telupid-Ranau near Kg Mangkadait, here, Thursday afternoon.
The Malaysian Sabah Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre in a statement said it received the emergency call at about 3.52pm.
Four Beluran Fire and Rescue Station rescue workers were deployed to the location some 105km away from the station.
“Firemen conducted inspections to ensure the situation was safe. But the vehicle was destroyed by fire,” a spokesperson said, adding there were no casualties.

Earlier, a video was shared widely showing the vehicle burning with thick plumes of smoke and what sounded like several explosions, forcing vehicles from both directions to stop momentarily on the road side.
