
RANAU: A villager was left with nothing after his house and rice storage store were destroyed by fire near here on Wednesday.
Ranau District Fire and Rescue Station Head, PPgB Ridwan Bin Mohd Taib, said the incident happened at Kg Malinsau Ranau at about 8am.
“We received a call via the MERS999 line at 8.51am and a group of six firemen led by Operations Commander, PBK II (KUP) Noidin Bin Raudin rushed to the location.
“Arriving at the scene located 60 kilometres from the station, we found a house and a non-permanent rice store razed to the ground.

Read more The firemen put out the fire which was under control at 11.30am and no victims were reported involved, he said.
Ridwan said firemen carried out inspection before ending the operation at 11.50am.
He reiterated his call to the public to be more cautious of fire incidents especially during the windy season.
