ON the Valentine’s Day Eve, 94 couples exchanged “I dos” in Muntinlupa City’s annual civil mass wedding on Friday.

The ceremony, locally known as “Kasalang Bayan,” was organized by the city’s Community Affairs and Development Office in partnership with the Local Civil Registry Office, which processed the couples’ marriage registrations to ensure their unions are legally recognized.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon officiated the rites, joined by other city officials who witnessed the exchange of vows before families and sponsors.

Biazon encouraged the newlyweds to look for inspirations that will strengthen their unity and help them remain steadfast in their commitments as husband and wife.

Among the couples were the youngest pair, 19-year-old Elien Paguidopon Ricafort and 18-year-old Princess Rosian Mitra Marculeta from Poblacion village, and the oldest couple, 67-year-old Ernesto Tacac Manuel and 51-year-old Eufronia Lacasa Solayao, also from Poblacion village.

Organizers from the City government also recognized Wellmar Legaspi and Ma. Francesca Caaway from Bayanan village was the event’s “Most Romantic Couple,” capping the city’s Valentine’s week celebration with 94 newly sealed marriages.
