KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — The police have recorded statements from 15 individuals to assist in investigations into allegations of failure to transfer RM230.9 million in government revenue, involving MyEG Sdn Bhd (MyEG) and Zetrix AI Berhad.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said those questioned comprised 12 Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers and three bank officers.

“So far, statements have been recorded from 15 individuals, comprising 12 from JPJ and three bank officers,” he said today.

He said that the investigation was launched following a police report, received on Oct 7, concerning financial transactions involving government revenue linked to the two companies under the MyEG Group.

The case is being investigated under Section 409 of the Penal Code.

On October 13, Rusdi was reported to have said that police had recorded statements from six witnesses, while various related documents were being examined to assist in the investigation.

He had also reminded the public against speculating about the case, and stressed that legal action would be taken against any parties found to be involved. — Bernama
