KAJANG – The mystery surrounding a foul odour emanating from a house in Taman Impian Indah here led to the discovery of a woman's body inside a suitcase on Sunday.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report on the incident at 8.37pm.
"Following the report, a police team, including the forensic unit, was dispatched to the scene.
"Initial investigations found the body of a woman inside a suitcase in the living room of the house," he said in a statement on Monday.
He added that the victim had no identification documents on her and investigations are ongoing to establish her identity.
Members of the public with information related to the incident are urged to contact Senior Investigating Officer Assistant Superintendent Nur Ayuni Aziz at 016-208 0717 or the 999 MERS emergency hotline to assist with the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
