NATIONAL Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang has called on citizens to actively foster interfaith understanding and compassion, stressing that maintaining harmony among diverse communities is essential to safeguarding the nation’s unity.

In a Facebook message marking Easter today, Aaron reflected on Malaysia’s multicultural identity and underscored that peace and solidarity must remain central pillars in society.

“Happy Easter! May the miracle of Easter bring you renewed hope and happiness,” he wrote, invoking the season’s spirit of renewal and goodwill.

He highlighted that a harmonious nation is better equipped to thrive on the global stage, with citizens working collectively and respectfully toward shared prosperity.

Aaron said the nation’s strength is found in its people who collaborate, respect one another, and nurture a sense of belonging across communities.

“Let us continue to embody the spirit of goodwill and unity in all that we do, for the Malaysia we cherish,” he added, urging Malaysians to carry these values into their daily lives, reinforcing both social cohesion and national resilience. - April 5, 2026
