SEREMBAN - The Pakatan Harapan (PH) manifesto for the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) focuses on three key areas: creating 30,000 high-paying job opportunities, building 20,000 affordable housing units and strengthening the Skim Sejahtera Rakyat (SSR).
Negeri Sembilan DAP secretary Cha Kee Chin said the manifesto was not merely an election pledge, but a continuation of the state government’s achievements over the past five years as well as efforts towards realising the Negeri Sembilan Maju 2045 vision.
He said the creation of 30,000 high-paying jobs aims to ensure more Negeri Sembilan residents can secure quality employment without having to migrate to other states.
“Investments successfully brought into the state must be translated into job opportunities and better incomes for the people, especially with the new areas that we have developed over the past five years.
“Secondly, the 20,000 affordable homes initiative is aimed at helping more young families own their own homes, while continuing the Rumah Harapan programme and expediting issues involving land and ownership rights,” he said during a press conference at the PH Negeri Sembilan main operations room here on Thursday.
Cha Kee Chin added that the government would continue engaging with the people through various assistance programmes and initiatives that are more structured and comprehensive, which have been improved compared to current efforts.
He said the key message of the PH manifesto is that Negeri Sembilan’s progress must be felt by ordinary citizens, with locals gaining access to high-paying jobs, young families being able to own homes, and all residents benefiting from development regardless of race or background.
“Throughout PH’s five years administering Negeri Sembilan, we have proven that a stable government can bring in investments, strengthen the state’s economy and expand various welfare initiatives for the people. The state’s revenue, for the people.
“That is why we urge the people of Negeri Sembilan to continue giving PH the mandate so that this development agenda can be continued towards a more advanced, prosperous and inclusive future for the state,” he said.
