One New York Knicks fan has faced a brutal punishment for her actions during the championship parade.
The New York Knicks finally ended their 53-year NBA Championship drought following a stunning win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Evidently, the city went above and beyond with celebrations after the achievement, including placing special Knicks-themed trash cans during the championship parade.
However, one Knicks fan crossed the line when she emptied a trash can on the street and stole it as her actions were recorded.

After the clip of the trash can theft went viral, many fans expected the fan to be identified, and according to an exclusive report by the New York Post, it turned out to be Angie Baez.
Now, who is the woman? Well, the Post revealed that Baez was a director at JPMorgan Chase. But that’s not all, after stealing the trash can, Baez was fired from her job.
“Sources say the bank looked into the incident after the video surfaced and a JPMorgan Chase spokesperson told The Post,‘This employee is no longer with the company,'” the Post reported.
Losing a job over a Knicks-themed trash can seems ridiculous, but Baez took that risk and ultimately paid the price for it.
New York Department of Sanitation makes ‘stupid’ statement about Angie Baez
Considering the value of the Knicks-themed trash can was lower than $1,000, Baez will likely avoid being charged with a crime.
But the New York Department of Sanitation still released a scathing statement on Baez’s actions during the Knicks’ championship parade.
“Dumping trash onto the street and stealing public property for your own personal use are both illegal, antisocial behaviors, and not what New Yorkers do.
“On top of all that, doing both on camera is incredibly stupid,” the Post further revealed.
Once again, risking a safe and secure job at one of the biggest global finance firms indeed sounds unexpected, but Baez made her choice, and now, she has to enter the brutal market for her next job.
