Newcastle United are ready to put in an offer in the region of £20million for Leeds midfielder Jack Harrison.
The 25-year-old has a huge admirer in Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, who wants to add quality to every part of his squad this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Howe believes that Harrison can add the necessary intensity and work ethic to his team's midfield.
There is no suggestion that such a fee would convince Leeds to sell.
The Elland Road club are not struggling for funds, as they have sold Raphinha to Barcelona for a significant fee this week.
Newcastle may have to significantly increase that bid if they have any hopes of securing Harrison.
