Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe insists Alexander Isak needs more training to get a starting spot in the team.
The Swedish international has had to make do with a bench role for the past few weeks.
Despite being the club's record signing, Isak must show Howe that he is fully fit before he is named in a starting lineup.
"He hasn't had a lot of training time," the Newcastle boss told reporters.
"We've had a lot of games and between those you can't train the players to the intensity you want.
"We've exposed him to the games, but at some stage he will need that training load to get to his very best levels."
