Newcastle United have made it a priority to extend the contract of their key midfielder Bruno Guimares.
The Brazilian has enjoyed an outstanding eighteen months since arriving at the St. James' Park club.
Per Fabrizio Romano, Guimares may have a deal that runs until 2026, but the club are being proactive.
They want to ensure that Bruno feels loved and appreciated at the club and does not seek a move away.
As they will be in the Champions League, and Guimares played a key role in making that happen, he will be rewarded with a pay rise.
While his extension may only be for one year or two, his wage increase will put him in line with the top earners at the club.
