Newcastle United are planning an audacious double signing to strengthen their central midfield.
The Magpies are considering making moves for both Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips and Chelsea's Conor Gallagher.
Per The Telegraph, the two clubs could be willing to let the respective talents go out on loan.
Phillips is on the outside of the City side, having failed to impress manager Pep Guardiola in his first season at the club.
Gallagher is not in the immediate plans of new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Whether the two clubs would let their players go on loan to a top six rival is another matter.
