KOTA KINABALU: No foreign or male DNA was detected on the biological specimens of the late Zara Qairina Mahathir, forensic chemist Nor Aidora Saedon told the inquest.
She said 37 exhibits, including swabs, fingernails, undergarments and body samples, were analysed between Aug 11 and 20, with results confirming only Zara’s DNA profile.
Some personal items such as books, a bag and a blanket showed mixed DNA profiles, which she said were inconclusive and likely due to normal contact or shared dormitory use.
