Wisma Putra confirms no Malaysians affected by Caracas security incidents, is monitoring the situation closely for citizen safety.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Foreign Ministry has confirmed there are no reports of Malaysians affected by recent security incidents in Caracas, Venezuela.

In a media advisory, Wisma Putra stated it is closely monitoring the unfolding developments in the Venezuelan capital.

The ministry said it is actively obtaining the latest updates to ensure the safety and welfare of Malaysians remains the utmost priority.

It added that it will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates if warranted.

International media reports state Venezuela announced a state of emergency following aerial strikes against Caracas.

United States President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured and flown out of the country after the US strike. – Bernama
