GRS Women’s chief Datuk Seri Azizah Mohd Dun dismissed suggestions of “borrowing candidates” among coalition partners ahead of the 17th Sabah Election, stressing that all GRS candidates must contest under the coalition’s own ticket and logo.

She said the matter remains under discussion but reiterated that the idea of using another party’s ticket is illogical and should not arise at all.

Speaking after chairing the GRS Women’s meeting at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Sunday, Azizah said the women’s wing remains focused on strengthening the party machinery and increasing membership across all divisions.

She added that GRS Women currently has around 28,000 members actively working on the ground to ensure victory for GRS candidates, praising their dedication and commitment.

Azizah also said GRS Women has proposed several women-related issues to be included in the upcoming election manifesto, including the earlier recommendation for more female candidates to be fielded.
