SHAH ALAM - NSK Trade City Sdn Bhd (NSK) has issued a public apology following an incident where one of its supermarket in Selayang allegedly displayed frog meat in the seafood counter.

In a statement released yesterday, NSK further said that immediate action has been taken to prevent a recurrence of the incident.

"We apologise for the incident that occurred on Oct 24. We understand the seriousness of this matter, and have promptly taken measures to address it.

"Warnings have also been issued to the involved employees.

"NSK deeply apologises once again and will ensure that such a mistake does not recur in the future," the statement said.

Previously, it was reported that a supermarket in Selayang went viral on social media after frog meat was discovered placed alongside seafood.

The matter was also forwarded to the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry for a comprehensive investigation.

However, a Ministry representative has indicated that they have not received any complaints regarding this peculiar incident.
