
State Secretary of the AYUSH Department and Shimla Divisional Commissioner A Shainamol has directed Revenue Department officials to dispose of matters in Kinnaur within a time frame to ensure that people in rural areas get relief. She gave this direction while chairing a meeting with officials of various departments at Reckong Peo in Kinnaur. The Commissioner also sought details regarding the current status of the Critical Care Block being constructed at the Regional Hospital, Reckong Peo, at a cost of Rs 20 crore. She directed the officials concerned to ensure proper quality of construction work.
Besides, discussions were also held regarding filling the vacant posts of doctor and the availability of medical specialists in the Health Department so that people living in remote areas could receive the benefits of the state government’s healthcare schemes on their doorsteps.
Shainamol also discussed the sewerage project established at the tourist destination of Sangla and obtained information regarding the under-construction sewerage projects at Ribba, Namgia, and Kalpa in Kinnaur district.
She also sought information regarding land allotment provided to people belonging to deprived and economically weaker sections under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, in the district. Besides, Shainamol reviewed developmental works being executed in border areas under the Vibrant Village Scheme. She assured the local stakeholders of overall development and said that the rural economy would be strengthened through tourism activities.
