Olivia Wilde has responded to backlash she received throughout her relationship with Harry Styles, stating that the romance “really upset people”.
The American actress and director, 42, dated the former One Direction star, 32, for nearly two years before they split in 2022.
Wilde opened up about the relationship on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, stating that it was a “miracle” that the backlash she faced never affected their bond.
“I think that it also had a lot to do with the kind of parasocial relationship people had with, have with him, which is a burden that is very weighty and not something I envy,” she reflected.
