M’sian shocked as auntie uses a DIY bleach bottle as ice scoop at local shop, sparking outrage and hilarious reactions from netizens.
A simple trip to the neighborhood convenience store turned into an eye-opener for one shopper who discovered something shocking: the store’s “ice scoop” was actually a cleaned bleach bottle.
The shopper recounted the incident online: “OMG, this auntie at the convenience store is using a bleach bottle as a DIY ice scoop.
“I confronted her politely, and she said she’s already bought a lot of scoops, but all the metal and plastic ones keep disappearing.
“I told her she can’t do that because it’s a chemical bottle, not food-grade. She replied that she washed it really well, so it should be okay.
“I suggested she just buy a cheap one—it only costs a few ringgit—and maybe tie it with a string, or just don’t leave it lying around.
“That’s basically it. She exaggerated about how the scoops kept disappearing, and I was a bit confused, so I eventually gave up.
“Geez, this auntie, really… unbelievable,” the post read.
Netizens were quick to react, expressing both disbelief and concern.
“Just report it to the Ministry of Health (KKM) or the nearest health clinic. You can’t just let it slide. Keep all the evidence and the store’s location,” one user called hamalina_n suggested.
“Come on, the ice scoop doesn’t cost more than RM5… Geez, auntie, why are you recycling something you really shouldn’t?” sherrashah9 lamented.
“Please steal this and throw it far away,” jxs.mine99 joked.
