MOSCOW - OpenAI announced on Tuesday a version of ChatGPT for teenagers, which includes enhanced security measures as well as an AI‑powered learning mode, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"We’re introducing ChatGPT for Teens, an experience designed to help teens learn, think critically, deepen understanding, and use AI with confidence. It provides stronger built-in safety protections for teens, including features to promote healthy use and additional controls for parents,” the statement read.
If ChatGPT determines that the user is under 18 years old or indicates that their age is between 13 and 17, they will automatically be redirected to the version of the chatbot designed for teenagers, OpenAI noted.
The chat will also remind teenagers about their homework, prepare quizzes, and visualise educational material, the statement added.
The ChatGPT chatbot gained widespread popularity in late November 2022, reaching its first one million users in less than a week.
One of OpenAI's co-founders in 2015 was United States (US) billionaire Elon Musk, who later severed ties with the startup. - BERNAMA
