An upright and forthright new King, who will commence officially on Wednesday (31st January 2024), will unite the nation and check politicians who misbehave.
New King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar will unite Malaysians of different races and religions as one Malaysian community.
The King will be proactive in his approach to unity. As President Nelson Mandela said: “Our world is not divided by race, colour, gender, or religion. Our world is divided into wise people and fools. Fools divide themselves by race, colour, gender, or religion.”
We recognise the King's profound impact on our people's well-being and the strength of our economy, with Anwar Ibrahim as the Prime Minister.
The synergistic partnership of both the King and PMX Anwar Ibrahim will return the country to long-term prosperity and resilience. Malaysia Madani exemplifies their commitment to action, collaboration and collective effort. Its emphasis is on sustainability, prosperity, innovation, respect, trust and compassion.
Going by the wise Sultan Ibrahim’s speech in September 2017, before the 2018 general elections, he made a clarion call to politicians to stay outside Johor and not interfere in Johore’s matters.
He slammed Dr Mahathir for playing politics of fear.
In a Facebook post headlined, “Sultan Johor warns Dr Mahathir”, he said, “Outsiders do not need to show smartness or teach us Johorean what to do. The people of Johor will not be swayed by the trickery (dongeng) of outsiders. Don’t try to frighten people with fabricated fairy tales. Perhaps this outsider has forgotten that his time has passed.
This is the three-minute video of the Sultan making a fiery speech to Johoreans at a public event.
Sultan added, referring to Mahathir: “In the past, he used to condemn the Malays as a forgetful race. But today, he shows his forgetfulness. He used to say that the opposition were dissidents and strict enemies.
“But now they can sit at the same table and become close friends. He used to say that the media bias liked to make up stories. But now no media bias and they are said to be facts.
“My advice to him is enough is enough. This world has day and night, it can't be daytime all the time. Don't be busy guarding the edges of people's clothing. Better fix your clothes that have been torn and tattered.”
As a parting shot, he cautioned, "People say the best business is minding your own business.”
