MANILA, Philippines — Zambales and Bataan are on orange rainfall alert while Metro Manila and other provinces are under a yellow rainfall warning due to the southwest monsoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its 8 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said that areas under orange alert are prone to floods.
Aside from Metro Manila, areas under a yellow alert are Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal(Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Morong, Taytay, Teresa, Tanay), Cavite(General Trias, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Ternate, Naic, Indang, Tanza, Trece Martires, Dasmarinas, Rosario, Noveleta, Cavite City, Mendez), Batangas(Calaca, Balayan, Tuy, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Lemery) and Quezon(General Nakar).
Moderate rains in the next three hours are expected in these areas, Pagasa said.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected in Laguna, Cavite (Amadeo, Silang, Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Tagaytay), Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy, Laurel) and Rizal(Jala-Jala, Pililla) within the next 3 hours.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan), the rest of Central Luzon, and Antique may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of Luzon, Aklan and Capiz will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
