MANILA, Philippines ─ Subic, Castillejos, and Olongapo in Zambales are under the orange rainfall warning because of the southwest monsoon.
These are pieces of information from the Heavy Rainfall Wanting issued at 5 a.m. on Thursday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Other parts of Zambales were under the yellow warning: San Antonio, San Marcelino, Cabangan, Botolan, San Felipe, San Narciso, Santa Cruz, Candelaria, and Masinloc.
Also under the yellow warning were parts of Bataan (Dinalupihan, Pilar, Balanga, Abucay, Samal, Orani, Hermosa, Orion, and Limay) as well as parts of Pampanga (Floridablanca, Masantol, Macabebe, Sasmuan, and Lubao.)
Meanwhile, Pagasa told the public to "expect light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over" Nasugbu in Batangas, General Nakar in Quezon, and parts of Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, San Antonio, Gapan, San Isidro, Cabiao, Peñaranda, San Leonardo, Jaen, Zaragoza, Gabaldon, Palayan, Laur, Santa Rosa, Licab, Aliaga, Cabanatuan, Cuyapo, Nampicuan, and Guimba) "within the next 3 hours."
It said light to moderate rains were affecting Bulacan, other parts of Bataan (Bagac, Mariveles, and Morong), Iba and Palauig in Zambales, other parts of Pampanga (Porac, Apalit, Minalin, Santa Rita, Guagua, Bacolor, Angeles, San Fernando, San Simon, Santo Tomas, Mexico, San Luis, Candaba, Mabalacat, Arayat, Santa Ana, and Magalang), parts of Tarlac (Bamban, Capas, and San Jose), parts of Metro Manila (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasay, Pateros Marikina, Manila, and Pasig), parts of Rizal (Rodriguez, San Mateo, and Antipolo), and Ternate and Naic in Cavite "which may persist within 3 hours and may affect nearby areas."
