MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said fair weather was expected in most of Luzon on Monday but extreme northern Luzon will have light rains.
"Because of the effect of the northeast monsoon, we will still experience light rains or drizzles in extreme northern Luzon," Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said on Sunday.
"But for the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila, we expect generally fair weather with a chance of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon to evening," Villamil said.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will also have fair weather but thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon or evening, he said.
No gale warning was issued but Villamil cautioned those who would go out to sea because of gusts of winds and huge waves.
