
Pahang Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy pays tribute to Maran UMNO Youth chief Mohd Radzi Rahimi, who died alongside three family members in a Bentong road tragedy.
TEMERLOH: The late Mohd Radzi Rahimi was a committed youth leader who was dedicated to serving the people and always put the community first, said Pahang UMNO Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
Wan Rosdy, who is also the Pahang Menteri Besar, said Mohd Radzi’s passing was a great loss not only to his family but also to the Maran UMNO division, the Pahang UMNO Youth movement and the Pahang UMNO Liaison Committee.
“It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of Maran UMNO Youth chief, the late Mohd Radzi, better known as Edy Radzi, who returned to the mercy of Allah after a tree-falling incident in Bentong this afternoon,” he said in a Facebook post today.
He said the tragedy also claimed the lives of Nuriani Mohammad Jafri, her son Muhammad Rizz Hazim, and her younger brother Mohammad Nizam.
“On behalf of the Pahang UMNO Liaison Committee, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. May they be granted strength, fortitude, and patience in facing this immensely difficult loss,” he said.
Meanwhile, UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh also extended his condolences to Mohd Radzi’s family.
“May Allah SWT forgive all his sins, accept all his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest,” he said.
Earlier, the media reported that four people were killed, while a child was injured, after the four-wheel-drive vehicle they were travelling in was crushed by a fallen tree along the old Kuala Lumpur-Bentong road near Janda Baik, Bentong, this afternoon.
