MANILA, Philippines — Palace Press Officer Claire Castro on Saturday slammed Vice President Sara Duterte, urging her to present evidence before making accusations against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the administration.
This comes after Duterte accused the Marcos administration of being "desperate" to bring her down and stay in power, which she said is “becoming increasingly diabolical.
“The people want Marcos to take a public drug test. The people want Marcos to answer for the flood control scandal. The people want change,” Duterte added.
In response to the accusations, Castro said Duterte should support her accusations with evidence and improve her arguments to gain credibility with the public.
“Hopefully, the Vice President learns to respond to accusations against her with evidence before pointing fingers at others. She should familiarize herself with the definitions of "red herring" and "ad hominem" fallacies so she can recognize the flaws in her own arguments,” said Castro in Filipino.
“We will keep repeating this so it sinks in... She needs to level up her defense skills so she can appear credible—if only for once,” Castro concluded.
