MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City has opened a charging station for electric vehicles (EV) in Barangay Manggahan, which is available to the public for free, Mayor Vico Sotto said.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Sotto said that the station is open to the public and may be used on a “first come, first served” basis, with priority given to city buses and other local government vehicles.
“New electric vehicle charging station in Pasig (Manggahan). For now, it is open to the public and may be used for FREE,” he said in Filipino.
“The whole project cost around P4 million, including the bathrooms, pavement, and, of course, the station itself,” the mayor said.
