KENINGAU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Bingkor Youth Movement reaffirmed strong commitment to supporting the leadership of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to maintain political stability, continue people-centric development, and uphold Sabah’s rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

Its chief, Harry Philippus, said GRS has proven to be the most stable and effective political platform in championing the interests of the people of Sabah, particularly in rural areas like Bingkor.

“We believe political stability is the foundation of sustainable and fair development. Without stability, policies and plans for the people cannot be fully realised,” he said in a statement.

Harry stressed that PBS Bingkor Youth’s support for GRS goes beyond political alignment, as the coalition has been consistent in fighting for Sabah’s interests in the spirit of MA63.

He said under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor, GRS has implemented a more structured and effective approach in pursuing Sabah’s rights, including administrative autonomy, revenue distribution, and balanced development between Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.

“This struggle is not only for us today but also to ensure the future of Sabah’s younger generation remains secure and respected as equal partners in the Federation of Malaysia,” he said.

He noted that various infrastructure projects such as road upgrades, clean water supply, rural electrification, and improvements in education and healthcare facilities have been implemented under the GRS government.

“This is clear evidence that political stability and unity play a vital role in ensuring development reaches every village and rural area,” he said.
