The Perak Madani Rakyat 2026 programme attracted over 303,000 visitors and generated nearly RM1 million in sales, setting a new participation record.

IPOH: The Perak Madani Rakyat 2026 programme concluded with a record-breaking attendance of 303,222 visitors, the highest since its inception in 2024.

Minister of Housing and Local Government Nga Kor Ming announced that the event also generated nearly RM1 million in sales value for participating traders.

“Despite weather challenges, the response was highly encouraging,” said Nga after closing the event at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah in Meru Raya.

He described the programme as the Madani government’s flagship initiative to engage directly with the people, pledging to continue enhancing such efforts for meaningful public benefit.

Nga added that the programme successfully achieved its objectives through strong public participation while also benefiting small traders and promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The Ministry of Housing and Local Government led this edition of the programme, which began last Friday and featured over 200 government services.

A wide range of activities catered to all segments of society, including the Jualan Rahmah Programme, free haircut services, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training exhibitions.

The event also featured displays of military assets and a photography and video competition titled “Lensa Rakyat, Ekspresi MADANI”.

Nga presented prizes to the competition winners and later handed out lucky draw prizes to visitors, with the grand prize of a Perodua Axia won by Siti Nur Aishah Sallehudin.
