In the video, a classroom of 17 year old boys can be seen participating in a skit of the popular song paired with several elaborately timed camera transitions.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the student that uploaded the video on TikTok (@maddoooooo) said that he and his friends were surprised at the online reactions.

“It was all just for fun so we didn’t expect it to have so many views on social media.”

The video was recorded on the 8th of April at a school in Perak while students were waiting in class for their parents to complete the annual parent-teacher meeting.

“We took our phones from our parents as we’re not allowed to bring phones to school and we got bored so my friend came up with an idea to do the TikTok”, said the uploader.

When asked by WORLD OF BUZZ why they chose to lip sync to “You Belong With Me” he simply replied that it’s because “most of us are Swifties“.

Did you read that Taylor Swift? There’s a whole classroom of Malaysian teen boys that adore you!

He goes on to elaborate further that “Everyone here listens to different types of genres even most of us are big K-pop fans, especially TWICE“.

“We don’t think that only certain type of people can listen to this song only. All music is for all and we should enjoy it because it can bring us together.”

Well the parents and teachers of these boys must be doing something right as those were some wise lines spoken by the young man.
