One of Malaysia’s most affordable cars has become even more affordable, with Perodua announcing price reductions of up to RM4,700 across all automatic variants of the Axia. Effective immediately, the revised prices apply in both Peninsular and East Malaysia.
The biggest reduction applies to the entry-level Axia 1.0G, which is now priced at RM33,900 in Peninsular Malaysia, down from RM38,600 previously. In East Malaysia, the model is now priced at RM35,900, representing the same RM4,700 saving. Meanwhile, the Axia 1.0X is now RM1,500 cheaper, while the Axia 1.0SE and range-topping Axia 1.0AV receive price reductions of RM1,000 and RM500 respectively.
The following are the revised prices for the Perodua Axia, excluding insurance.
Peninsular Malaysia
| Model | Previous Price | New Price |
|---|---|---|
| Axia 1.0G | RM38,600 | RM33,900 |
| Axia 1.0X | RM40,000 | RM38,500 |
| Axia 1.0SE | RM44,000 | RM43,000 |

| Axia 1.0AV | RM51,500 | RM51,000 |
According to Perodua, the lower prices are the result of improvements in operational efficiency and continuous efforts to optimise its operations. Rather than keeping the savings, the company has chosen to pass them directly to customers making the Axia even more affordable while maintaining the same specifications and quality standards.
“This price revision forms part of our ongoing efforts to ease the cost pressures currently faced by Malaysians.
The new pricing also reflects our ongoing efforts to further improve our operational effectiveness, which has similarly translated into reduced service costs and revised pricing for the QV-E and Battery as a Service (BaaS) offerings.
We thank them, including our vendors and dealers, for extending their full cooperation in enhancing cost efficiency for the collective benefit of the industry and, by extension, all Malaysians,” – Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President and Chief Executive Officer, Perodua
Price reductions for existing models are relatively uncommon in the automotive industry, especially for a vehicle that is already Malaysia’s most affordable new car. If the Axia has been on your shortlist, the new pricing makes it an even more compelling option.
