LAHAD DATU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) members, especially in Silam, are told to become “bodyguards” in defending their “home”.

PGRS Silam Division Chief Datuk Mizma Appehdullah said, it is important for every member to bear the responsibility of looking after their house, which is the party, so that it is not teased by outside elements.

Mizma said the state election season is getting closer and there would definitely be many agendas or accusations thrown at us by other parties in attempt to weaken the party.

“We have to strengthen unity and become bodyguards for our house so that agendas that can provoke the integrity of our party do not enter.

She said, in order to ensure that the party remains intact, members, especially at the grassroots level, must unite and work together.

“Work according to the plan and strategy we have drawn up, focus on our work and prioritise the interests of the party,” she explained.

Mizma expressed her gratitude for the smoothness of the meeting of 13 branches in Silam simultaneously.

“Thus smoothness of the meetings involving 13 branches shows agreement and unity of party members.

She also hoped the meeting could be a forum for members to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship for the sake of the party’s integrity.
