
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah DAP Women Division voiced unwavering support for the recent statement by Pakatan Harapan (PH) on “6-3-3” plan that nominates 12 women candidates from PH Sabah for the coming State Election (PRN).
Sabah DAP Vice Chair Jannie Lasimbang (pic) said the initiative is the culmination of two years of continuous effort, encompassing preparation, training, and the implementation of grassroots programs to ensure that women candidates are fully prepared.
It demonstrates PH Sabah’s commitment to fulfilling the 30pc quota for women’s participation in politics, while also strengthening the opportunity to form an inclusive and authoritative state government, she said.
Sabah DAP Women chief Bronica Sikula she said: “I firmly believe that the active participation of women in politics is not merely about meeting quotas, but about enriching the discourse of public policy with more comprehensive perspectives — emphasizing aspects of family well-being, education, health, safety, and sustainable development.”On the recent decision of Liau Fui Fui and her branch, Wanita DAP Sabah respects the decision and acknowledges her contributions to the party’s struggles over the years.
