Phagwara Police Station City SHO Inspector Amanpreet Kaur has been honoured with the prestigious “DGP Disc” award following a major success in the fight against drugs, after the recovery of 16 kilograms 209 grams of heroin in a high-profile operation under the state’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign.

The operation, led by SHO Amanpreet Kaur, resulted in the arrest of four accused persons involved in drug trafficking, along with the recovery of a vehicle allegedly used in the illegal trade. In recognition of this achievement, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav awarded the ‘DGP Disc’ to SHO Amanpreet Kaur and members of her team for their exceptional performance, professionalism and effective action against drug smuggling networks. Kapurthala SSP Gaurav Toora formally decorated SHO Amanpreet Kaur and other officers with the honour during a ceremony.

The awarded personnel include Traffic Incharge Inspector Aman Deveshwar, ASI Surinder Pal, ASI Harmesh Lal, ASI Balwinder Singh, and Senior Constable Arun Duggal, among others.
