MANILA, Philippines—Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno announced that Phase 2 of the rehabilitation of the Dimasalang Bridge Northbound Lane will begin on Saturday.
Speaking at his Facebook live broadcast on Thursday, Moreno said the project was targeted for completion by the second week of October this year, in time for the preparation for the annual commemoration of All Saints’ Day in November.
The bridge is a crucial route for motorists traveling to the Dangwa Flower Market and the Manila North Cemetery.
Moreno added that the city government has prepared an alternate route plan for motorists and commuters who will be affected by the temporary closure of the northbound lane while the rehabilitation is underway.
