
A photography exhibition was organised by students of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, at the Student Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This exhibition was dedicated to renowned photographer Raghu Rai, whose extraordinary contribution to Indian photography and visual storytelling had inspired generations of photographers across the world.
A total of 35 photographic works created by 12 students pursuing advanced diploma in photography are being showcased in the exhibition, presenting compelling visual narratives through the lens of nature, environment, emotions and contemporary life.
The exhibition was organised as part of the practical curriculum of the advanced diploma in photography programme and curated under the mentorship of Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh, assistant professor in Education and coordinator/HoD of the Advanced Diploma in Photography at the CDOE.
The participating students include Ranjit Singh, Ritu Barki, Arshdeep Singh, Jasleen Kaur, Shyamli Thakur, Rahul Saini, Charanjeet Kaur, Kanika, Manpreet Kaur, Ram Singh Yadav, Vikas and Appalapuram Muni Ram Sripadha. The exhibited works beautifully capture diverse genres, including wildlife, nature, street photography, photojournalism, night photography and fine art photography, reflecting both technical expertise and creative imagination.
