Referring to the exhibition, he said ‘Silence of Moments’ draws attention to the quieter dimensions of time, memory and human experience.
He added that art plays a significant role in promoting sensitivity and encouraging positive thinking in society.
Chairperson of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr Gurcharan Singh, said exhibitions offer students and emerging artists valuable opportunities to observe diverse approaches to artistic practice and presentation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pawan Kumar said the exhibition would enable students and research scholars to explore key aspects of photography, including visual composition, light, shadow and the documentation of moments. He added that selected works from the exhibition would also be displayed at the University Guest House and other locations across the campus. The exhibition will remain open to visitors until June 5.
The exhibition features photographs centred on themes of nature, time, memory and everyday life, presenting visual interpretations of experiences and surroundings through the medium of photography.
