Content creator Leeloo Larcombe (@lawcombe) recently shared her experience of dealing with a photographer in the KLCC area who attempted to charge a hefty fee for photos he took of her and her friend.

According to Leeloo, the photographer tried to charge RM650 for 65 photos taken using his mobile phone.

In her viral social media post, Leeloo was seen telling the photographer that she was Malaysian after he initially mistook her for a foreigner. The photographer patiently took their photos and even suggested poses for the pair.

Many of the photos captured Leeloo and her friend with the iconic KLCC towers in the background, and she admitted that she loved the shots. However, Leeloo was unwilling to pay RM650 for the photos.

Responding to a comment online, Leeloo clarified that she eventually paid RM50 for seven photos

“I wanted to have the pictures. Initially, the photographer asked for RM650 for 65 photos, but we didn’t like all of them, so we didn’t want to buy them all,” she explained.

In her video, Leeloo also pointed out that she was aware she was participating in what she described as a “tourist trap.” Despite the experience, she shared the photos on her social media accounts, referring to them as “the infamous KLCC pictures.”

WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to Leeloo for further comment, but has yet to receive a response.

In July 2025, a group of unlicensed photographers operating in the area were fined up to RM2,000 by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). In the same year, a Chinese tourist was reportedly scolded by one of the photographers for purchasing only a single photo priced at RM5.
