MANILA, Philippines — The PLDT High Speed Hitters snapped a two-game losing streak by beating the Cignal Super Spikers via sweep, 25-17, 25-22, 25-23, to close the semifinal round of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) on Thursday night at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

PLDT, the top seed of the preliminary round, failed to make the finals and will play the battle-for-bronze match against the Farm Fresh Foxies on Tuesday

Cignal, on the other hand, will vie for the championship against Creamline.

Savi Davison led the scoring for PLDT with 21 points, while Alleiah Malaluan made 11 points.

“Well we just have to bounce back, and we still got work to do, and we are hoping to close out the conference with a victory,” Davison told the media.

Cignal was led by Jessa Ordiales’ 13-point output.
