MANILA, Philippines — The PLDT High Speed Hitters outlasted the gritty Farm Fresh Foxies in a grueling five-set clash, 22-25, 25-21, 27-25, 26-28, 15-11, to move a win away from securing the bronze medal in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Top-seeded after the preliminaries, PLDT slid to the battle-for-bronze following a 1-2 record in the semifinals.
Now, the High Speed Hitters are making the most of their second chance as they eye their first-ever podium finish in the All-Filipino Conference.
Setter Kim Fajardo orchestrated the offense with 36 excellent sets, fueling a balanced attack that saw five PLDT players finish in double digits.
Savi Davison led the charge with 33 points, while Kianna Dy added 16 markers. Mika Reyes, Alleiah Malaluan, and Majoy Baron contributed 13, 11, and 10 points, respectively.
Farm Fresh drew strength from Trisha Tubu’s 30-point explosion and Ces Molina’s 15 markers, but fell short in their first-ever semifinal appearance.
